Pure Mediterranean essence

Defining the pure Mediterranean essence for Larios, a Beam Suntory gin born in 1866 in Malaga, based on the Buena Vida spirit – the good life in Spanish. 

To create a unique brand universe, we explored Malaga's natural rhythm and warmth, identifying its unique elements. e defined the design principles that would guide the new visual brand’s ecosystem, revealing Malaga's Mediterranean spirit with colors, lights, fragrances, and ingredients, aiming to inspire a relaxed energy for all. 

We shaped a flexible language, including a simplified single-ink Larios logo and a textured version reminiscent of Malagan ceramics. The bespoke Larios Display seigned by Arilla Type Studio echoes traditional Malagan street signs, representing the place's freshness. Moreover, we add sensoriality through oil-painted illustrations by Antonio Barahona, representing the 12 botanical ingredients and the different Larios blends' organoleptic nuances. 

The visuals with natural lighting and shadow-play transfer Malaga's unique light, evoking a relaxed state of mind and the Mediterranean's mild climate, conveying the Buena Vida way of life. 

A new universe that fuses past and present, to write Larios’ future.
